Oh and I forgot, you still didn't show me a source saying that the study counted disease. You referenced me to the Washington Post article, but that said nothing of the sort.

I'd rather not. This discussion is going nowhere, and I'd rather not post on a site that has Ann Coulter advertisements everywhere.

It's "very likely" that every person was known by 21 others and counted, when they surveyed 1,800 homes in a population of over 26 million? It's called "debate," which is civilized and logical, unlike "arguing." Why would I leave a "nasty" message? Obviously you've judged me based on my opinion and not my actions. You also never answered how I'm arrogant, but okay...

Very likely when you have a war all over your Country. And the study said it counted disease. If you want to argue more, leave me a nasty message on my blog. I'm tired Since my articles are specific, go post a comment on the MSNBC article I wrote about Keith Olbermann and write it on that. I'll take a look at it tomorrow. Take care. copiousdissent dot blogspot dot com

Actually, I said that the numbers in the other studies are not disputed- those studies use the same method as the Johns Hopkins one. How exactly am I being arrogant?

I looked at that article and it said nothing about them counting people who died from sickness. If they randomly surveyed 1,800 homes in the entire country, what are the chances that each casualty is counted TWENTY-ONE times (which would make this study's results equal to that of the US government)?

The Washington Post type the following without quotes in google, third one down it should be "Johns hopkins and iraq deaths" 2nd - the study had no way of knowing that they weren't counting the same people twice by simply asking people about deaths. Otherwise, they would have had 655,000 names. Then you arrogantly state by fiat that the numbers are not disputed.

Nobody disputes the validity of these numbers, but as soon as it conflicts with the numbers given by organizations using inacurate (again, see the previous posts) methods, it is immediately considered "absurd." It is also the same method used in US polls (which many times question as little as 1,000/3 million people).

That made it possible to compare wartime death rates with pre-war rates. Like I said, this is the same method that has been used to estimate war deaths in Kosovo, Congo, and Rwanda, as well as natural disasters.
