Description: Heres the late great Pigmeat Pete Smith who came over to make a video of his performance for my archive in 1998. It was with great sadness and shock I was to hear of his death about a year later in 1999 he had apparently died from a suddenly diagnosed cancer of the liver. I only met him the once during the unforgetable two or so hours I spent in his company making a video of many of his most popular original and classic country blues songs. Pete was well known to European and British blues fans and is sadly missed. Thankfully his memory is preserved on the audio recordings he made and his performance on the video I made that very enjoyable afternoon in early 1998. Heres he is performing one of the alltime most great acoustic blues numbers "Walking blues" by Robert Johnson. Regards.
