Description: American Allyson Felix defended her 200-meter title in style on Friday, surging down the home straight to win gold in the best time of the year. Felix, the youngest athlete to claim a sprint world title when she won as a 19-year-old in Helsinki two years ago, dashed across the line in 21.81 seconds to match Jamaican Marlene Ottey in winning back-to-back world championship 200-meter golds. World 100-meter and Olympic 200-meter champion Veronica Campbell looked to be in with a chance of a sprint double at the bend but Felix stormed past her and the Jamaican took silver in 22.34. jedwards1829 ::: Favorites Apparently felix can deadlift 300lbs....with power to weight ratio like that is incredible start and because of long levers she is able to relax and hold that top speed all the way through. incredible 07-10-09 05:11:34 __________________________________________________
Ineddiblehulk ::: Favorites you forget how fast heike dreschler was, no wonder she could hurl herself so far down a long jump pit. 07-09-22 00:03:38 __________________________________________________
Ineddiblehulk ::: Favorites i think the most exciting prospect is Felix running a 400, she has the speed, and showed in that race she has the technique and strength to sustain it. Maybe we will have a 47 run in the future 07-09-22 00:02:25 __________________________________________________
0077725 ::: Favorites so allison is only 0.2sec away from marion jones' best?? she got a bright future then! be hard to catch flo-jo's wr, but she might get close!! 07-09-12 19:48:45 __________________________________________________
sommardog ::: Favorites well done felix, just coming off an injury campbell did very well for Jamaica, did any one actually saw the relay with VC. veronica campbell, and sherone simpson will be coming for felix with a vengeance faster 200 meter times are ahead OLMPICS cant wait 07-09-03 15:49:04 __________________________________________________

supaman4521 ::: Favorites usually, the fastest athletes in an event get lanes 4 or 5 07-09-01 22:12:47 __________________________________________________
rochelleluv ::: Favorites is it me or why does america always get lane 4 in a final 07-09-01 18:44:30 __________________________________________________
gehwol89 ::: Favorites I looked it up again. Inger Miller is 11th with 21.77s and Brisco Hooks also did 21.81s. Erase some suspects from that list (East-Germans, flojo e.g.) and she'll easily be top 5. 07-09-01 18:14:52 __________________________________________________ |
