etwr2 ::: Favorites obviously you havn't seen a group of Great Pyrenees work together if you don't think they are great guard dogs. As a sheep farmer i have 8 (males and females) and their ability to protect the sheep, and work together while doing it is amazing. In a dangerous situation, they work nearly like a pack of wolves. When she passed away at 13 years she was the Last Pyr in Hawaii, with Quarantine Laws I've not found a breeder willing to help. Hope to find someone in New Zealand to work with. iamkadaj ::: Favorites I have had pyr mountain dogs all my life, they are a loving dog that would seriously die to protect you, BUT, if you are looking 4 a big dog to scare, intimidate and be vicious, then dont get a dog at all, least not a pyr mountain dog, because they are unlike any other breed of dog, in a bad cituation they will do only what they need to do, which is protect, be it land, property, or human.
