Description: This is one video in a Series of Videos I have of Sifu Chow teaching the Mook Jong or Wooden Dummy. The Traditional form has been broken into 10 sections by Sifu Chow's Saigon Leung Sheung. This is a Demonstration of the first 5 sets of the Wooden Dummy form taught in the IWC. UPDATE: People have been asking where to find the rest of this video. As a courtesy I to Master Chow, my Si Kung, I only uploaded the form portion of the video. However, yoo can purchase this seres on Amazon.com or ESPYTV.com/wing.htm. I hope this helps, -trenoops [IWC] |

mokyan7 ::: Favorites I don't mind not having dummy pads, as I also hit a heavy bag and a 3-section wall bag filled with beans. Maybe that's why many dummy attacks use an open palm to 'push' the dummy (e.g. the lap da or tan da low palm). I obviously don't want to punch the wood hard as my hands aren't as hard. I could try a towel or something for the middle, I suppose. 07-08-19 14:27:36 __________________________________________________
trenoops ::: Favorites that is not a good critique - you can do better yourself. 07-08-18 06:45:13 __________________________________________________
trenoops ::: Favorites That's funny you say that because at our school in Seattle we have never had pads on our dummy, so I just got used to hitting the wood. I will have to ask Master Chow what he uses, or you can ask him by visiting his website >> sifuchowwingchun<dot>com. -trenoops 07-08-18 06:44:08 __________________________________________________

mokyan7 ::: Favorites What did you use to make the center and upper pads? I have a dummy in my garage but can't find a good pad to use so I can really 'attack' it more as I work on my dummy sets and freestyle practice. Thanks! 07-08-09 22:05:41 __________________________________________________

KronD4TwoZero ::: Favorites This isnt a board. Boards are meant to break. This is a tool for conditioning the body, energy control, and alligning the angles. This wood doesnt break unless you are really really really strong, well thats if this is a authentic teak wood. Doesnt look like it. Mine is tho. 07-07-11 00:54:46 __________________________________________________ |
